Devizes Gateway Railway Station
For several decades, almost since the railway station was closed in the 1960s, there has been a desire to link Devizes back onto the rail network.
Several groups over the years have looked at several possible alternatives which never came to fruition. Recently the DDP took on the iniative of exploring a realistic solution.
This is now being worked on with the support of Devizes Town Council, Wiltshire Council and the rail operators. It is believed that there is a realistic possibility of achieving a station just outside Devizes. There is no projected time scale at the moment.
